In February 2018, the Global Head of Anti-Counterfeiting matters for\nChannel SARL toured Panama City. During their visit, we visited the regional\nheadquarters of the United Nations on Drugs and Crime where the Container\nControl Programme (CCP) is coordinated and supervised. Mr. Jorge Vargas\nextensively explained the results of the Container Control Programme in Panama\nand in the Latin America region. Afterwards, we visited the Colon Free Zone,\nwhere we were able to confirm the reality of the free zone as a distribution\npoint for counterfeit products. Weeks later, the Superior Prosecutor\u2019s Office\nSpecialized in Crimes against Intellectual Property Rights conducted 3\nsuccessful operations within the Colon Free Zone, where a significant amount of\nCHANEL clothing, shoes, handbags and perfumes were confiscated. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
