On August 23, 2019, MORAN IP in coordination with the\nNational Customs Authority, conducted a Brand Protection training directed to\nofficials of the Airport Customs, Balboa Port, Directorate of Customs\nPrevention and Control (DPFA), the compounds Huzacapital and Flamenco Island,\nDHL and Judicial Branch officials, with the aim of providing key information to\nidentify original and counterfeit products, as well as trends of illegal trade\nof products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThe event included the participation of Mr. Hugo Moran partner of MORAN IP, Mr.\nWaldemar Oliveros of Customs Intellectual Property, Zahira Ru\u00edz, Administrator\nof the Eastern Zone and Rodolfo Samuda Deputy General Technical Director, who\nemphasized that \u201cThe counterfeiting of goods must be seen as a teamwork, to\nachieve the objectives where all the members of that team have a key role\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training was carried out by experienced professionals such as Ms. Julie Mej\u00eda, Brand Protection Regional Team Leader at PROCTER & GAMBLE, Ms. Judith A. Fern\u00e1ndez, Regional Director of Legal Affairs for Latin America at ASW Group and Ms. Sandra Guerra, IP Counsel Latam of PHILIPS, by the National Customs Authority participated Mr. Waldemar Oliveros of the Intellectual Property Department and Maruquel Degracia of the Radiological Protection Unit.
