On October 28, 2019 Mr. Roland Mirones Martinez,\nMinister of Public Security and Mr. Alejandro Campos, President of Crime\nStopper Panama signed a key Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to combat illicit\ntrade and organized crime. The intention of MoU is to provide access to Panamanians\nto an online platform to submit anonymous denunciations of several crimes such\nas money laundering, tax evasion, illicit trade among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crime Stoppers International (CSI) is an non-government\norganization founded in 1969, with operation in 26 countries. Crime Stoppers\nPanama is the regional branch of CSI focused in the combat of illicit trade,\nmoney laundering and tax evasion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by the Treasurer of Crime Stoppers,\nMrs. Cibeles de Freitas, Secretary of Crime Stoppers Mr. Hugo Moran R., Partner\nof Moran IP, and Mr. Severino Mejia, Security adviser of Panama President Laurentino\nCortizo, who stated that \u201cthis technological solution will provide a trusted\nplace for Panamanians to submit anonymous denunciations\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
