{"id":1999,"date":"2019-11-26T15:48:15","date_gmt":"2019-11-26T20:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.moranip.com\/?p=1999"},"modified":"2019-11-26T15:48:18","modified_gmt":"2019-11-26T20:48:18","slug":"best-practice-moran-ip-provides-pro-bono-legal-counsel-in-drafting-the-model-law-to-combat-illicit-trade-and-transnational-organized-crime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.moranip.com\/index.php\/2019\/11\/26\/best-practice-moran-ip-provides-pro-bono-legal-counsel-in-drafting-the-model-law-to-combat-illicit-trade-and-transnational-organized-crime\/","title":{"rendered":"BEST PRACTICE: MORAN IP PROVIDES PRO BONO LEGAL COUNSEL IN DRAFTING THE MODEL LAW TO COMBAT ILLICIT TRADE AND TRANSNATIONAL ORGANIZED CRIME"},"content":{"rendered":"<body>\n<p>On November 8, 2019 Mr. Alejandro Campos and\nour partner Hugo Mor\u00e1n R., acting as President and Secretary of Crime Stoppers\nPanama, respectively, presented to the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament\n(PARLATINO) the legislative initiative called \u201cModel Law to Combat Illicit\nTrade and Transnational Organized Crime\u201d.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This model Law was presented to Latin American\nCongressmen of the Commission on Citizen Security, Combat and Prevention of\nDrug Trafficking, Terrorism and Organized Crime of PARLATINO, who received a\ndetailed support of the aforementioned initiative to provide best practices to\ncombat Transnational Organized Crime, trademark counterfeiting, illicit trade,\nsmuggling, including diversion of genuine products, and illegal practices\nthrough electronic commerce and in free trade zones.
