Within the framework of Intellectual Property Day, the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office against Intellectual Property Crimes of the Republic of Panama organized a series of conferences on different topics on Intellectual Property. Our partner Mr. Hugo Morán R. spoke on the topic “Illicit Trade and Organized Crime”, where aspects related to the links between Intellectual Property Crimes and Smuggling with transnational organized crime, and the public-private partnership to combat the illicit trade were discussed. Mr. Moran R. represented the “Crime Stoppers Foundation”, where he holds the position of secretary of said non-governmental organization.
