Panama IP Prosecutor Office conducted a simultaneous Raid Search Action against three corporations domiciled at The Colon Free Zone, Colon City, Panama, which are responsible of the importation of counterfeit goods from China. In this sense, IP Prosecutor with the assistance of National Police seized 196,698 counterfeit goods bearing several brands: Victoria’s Secret, Pink, Barbie, Gucci, Michael Kors, Disney’s brands, Coach, amongst other brands. Upon conducting the analysis of previous cases, local authorities have confirmed that the offenders are related to customs detention conducted from 2021 to 2023. IP Prosecutor had arrest and presented criminal charges against the legal representatives of the infringer corporations for the Crime against Industrial Property Crime.
